This Mommy Tries to Make Christmas Breakfast, Christmas French Toast

There is nothing better than waking up, with cinnamon and vanilla in the air, it makes life cozy. Imagine if pancakes, French toast, and cinnamon rolls all came to together. The result Christmas French Toast. This is a recipe I came up with, mixing all of my favorite French toast recipes. It wasn’t until my niece told me that it tasted like French toast and pancake with a mix of cinnamon roll.

I’m not use to writing down the measurements; I usually just toss everything in bowl! This recipe is enough for two French bread loafs; the bread is kind of small so I think it would be enough for a full loaf.

The ingredients:

1 cup of flour

½ cup sugar

1/3 cup brown sugar

1 tablespoon baking powder

2 tablespoon cornstarch

½ tablespoon cinnamon

1 ½ tablespoon vanilla

1 cup of milk

4 large eggs

Directions

Mix all ingredients in a large mixing bowl. ( I like to use mixers to make sure everything is incorporated) Once batter is mixed. Preheat your pan. I like to preheat my pan while I am getting everything ready. This helps with cooking times. Spray pan, (try using coconut oil it adds a yummy flavor) dip your bread in your batter on bot sides.

Tongs are super helpful or even a fork. Put bread in the pan at medium heat flip when batter on one side is cooked. I watch the batter run off and when the air bubbles pop like a pancake I flip them over.

Once your French toast is done you can sprinkle some powder sugar on it, syrup or it is sweet enough to eat plain. These also freeze beautiful!

Christmas time is full of joy and magic. This recipe is perfect to celebrate the season. To me these taste like Christmas morning when the vanilla, mixes with the cinnamon it gives your mouth a tasty treat. Watch out these are addictive! What is your favorite Christmas breakfast?
